Rapid Roll® Doors are
designed to open at speeds up to 10' per second (3 meters/ sec.). This
helps save companies money by keeping traffic flowing and goods moving
twenty-four hours a day.
Rapid Roll® and Rapid
FoldTM
Doors are
engineered to be virtually maintenance free. Unlike conventional doors,
they do not use costly chains or sprockets. There are also fewer moving
parts eliminating mechanical problems

At the heart of the Rapid Roll® door is the panel material. It must be
durable enough to withstand even the toughest environments. For this
reason, Albany International manufactures its own door fabric, Rolltex®
In fact Albany International is the ONLY high-speed door
manufacturer to produce its own fabric. This gives another quality
control advantage to the Rapid Roll® Door.
Rolltex® is chemical,
weather, and puncture resistant. This revolutionary fabric is
constructed of a double-layer, seamless fabric of woven polyester
monofilament It's impregnated and coated with PVC and available in
several colors including orange and blue. Custom colors are also
available.

Rolltex® fabric
g-i-v-e-s on impact and restores itself in minutes. In fact, this
material is so strong that it:
- withstands
impacts over 3,000 lbs/ square inch (210 kg/cm2);
- lengthwise
tensile strength of over 1500 lbs/ in (68 kg/cm);
- crosswise
tensile strength of over 2200 lbs/ in (105 kg/cm);

withstands temperatures between -31f and +212 f (-35c and 100c)
