MODEL ‘ED’ Series – STATIONARY

Typical Product Application:

For loading/unloading applications where no dock exists, ground level access is required, or the range of trailer heights is beyond the capability of a dock leveler.

Features:

- All BLUE GIANT elevating docks are designed and manufactured to comply with ANSI MH29.1-1994.
- Rugged construction includes beam reinforced decks and solid plate steel scissor legs.
- All pivot points are fitted with lifetime lubricated bearings or Teflon-coated bushings to insure smooth, maintenance-free operation. Pivot points are made of hard chromed steel to resist corrosion.
- Lift cylinders are constructed with hard chromed rams, self-adjusting polyurethane seals and vent lines for long life.
- Standard safety features include beveled toe guard sides, guard rails, personnel restraint chain, built-in maintenance strut, hydraulic "fall safe" velocity fuses, high visibility striping on sides.

TYPE:

Floor or pit installed, single scissor dock lift. Electro-hydraulic operated.

Rated Capacity: All units are rated in compliance with ANSI MH29.1-1994. All units are rated for evenly distributed loads. Single axle rolling load capacities are 80% across the ends and 50% across the sides. Standard capacities range from 4,000 lbs. to 20,000 lbs. (1,818 kgs. to 9,091 kgs.). Consult chart.

Lowered Height: Standard available from 10" to 21" (254mm to 533mm).

Vertical Travel: Standard available from 48" to 59"(1219mm to 1499mm).

Travel Speed: Recommended standard available up to 25FPM (7mpm). Lowering speed is factory preset for safe lowering with rated load.

OPERATION:

Power Unit: Remote 3 HP, 208/3/60 power pack on 12’ (3660mm) hydraulic hose. Includes all major components; continuous duty motor, high-pressure gear pump, manifold, oil filters and oil reservoir. Power unit includes a pressure relief valve, load holding check valve, fixed pressure compensated flow control valve and poppet-type lowering solenoid valve. Oil filters located in the reservoir and valve manifold.

Control Station: Remote on 12’ (3660mm) electrical cord. NEMA4 (water-resistant) rated dual button control station, constant pressure type, complete with ‘UP’ and ‘DOWN’ buttons. Shall not exceed 2¼"W x 4"H x 2½"D (57 x 102 x 64mm). Controller includes a three pole magnetic motor starter with adjustable overload and a fuse protected 120-volt control transformer. Terminals provided for incoming power connection. Controller components are installed in NEMA 12 (oil and dust resistant) rated enclosure, pre-wired and dielectric tested.

CONSTRUCTION:

Platform: Fabricated of heavy non-skid high tensile steel tread plate and reinforced with steel beams for maximum strength and rigidity. Platform sides have beveled toe guard protection.

Hinged Bridge: Standard lip is piano-hinge type, 18" long x 60" wide (457 mm x 1524mm), and is fabricated of non-skid high tensile steel tread plate. Lip edge is chamfered. Plated lifting chain is provided.

Removable Handrails: Steel pipe 1.5" (38mm) construction, 42" (1067mm) high, with mid-rail and 4" (102mm) high kick plate. Handrail sockets are flush with platform surface. Plated safety restraint chain is provided at open end.

Scissor Mechanism: Legs are fabricated of solid steel sections.

Cylinders: Minimum two piston type hydraulic cylinders. . Rods constructed of hard-chromed steel and include self-adjusting polyurethane seals, positive internal stops, and fitted with vent lines. Hydraulic velocity fuse "fall safe" to prevent platform free fall is attached to each cylinder.

Bearings: All pivot points fitted with permanently lubricated Teflon impregnated bushings. Pivot pins made of hard-chromed plated steel.

RATED CAPACITY:

Welding procedure compliant with A.W.S.D1.1 98 specifications. All units are rated in compliance with ANSI MH29.1-1994. All units are rated for evenly distributed loads. Single axle rolling load capacities are 80% across the ends and 50% across the sides. Standard capacities range from 4,000lb to 20,000lb (1,818kg to 9,090kg).
