Dock Levelers

Safety is the most important factor to consider when choosing a dock leveler. You can't go wrong with a good Dock Leveler, and with a good Hydraulic Dock Leveler, you will have the safest one around.

Typical problem with mechanical levelers is the constant upward stress on the spring mechanism counteracting gravity. This causes many of the problems as shown above. A hydraulic leveler, on the other hand is not under constant "wear" stress, and uses gravity to its advantage. It is designed to precisely position the leveler making movement over it quick and efficient.

Hydraulics are also safer than mechanical systems. The Hydraulic system include a velocity fuse that arrests the downward acceleration of the leveler should a truck prematurely leave. Mechanical Dock Levelers do include safety stops to minimize the fall, in an abrupt manner. The Hydraulic system will decelerate the fall of the leveler quicker and more gently.

Features:

  • Every "C" Series Dock Leveler deck is reinforced with high tensile steel box beams.
  • Side-to-side tilt enables leveler to compensate for canted truck beds while avoiding-damaging twisting forces.  The tilting system provides maintained tilt, ensuring full contact between dock leveler lip and truck bed.  Maintained tilt avoids costly damage to lift truck tires and steering which prolong life expectancy of the dock leveler.  Side-to-side tilt compensation is up to 4".
  • All pivot points are fitted with sealed bearings or pre lubricated bushings for smooth operations.
  • Vertical travel and automatic vertical compensation is 12" above and 12" below dock level.
  • Standard safety devices are toe guards, hydraulic "fall safe" velocity fuse, cross traffic support, maintenance strut and beveled lip.
  • Standard accessories are night locks and two 10"W x 13"H x 4"D molded rubber dock bumpers.
  • Capacities available are 25,000 lb and 30,000 lb.
  • 1 HP electro-hydraulic system controlled by a remote pushbutton station.

Warranty standard is five-year structural and power pack.  One-year parts and labor warranty from date of shipment.
